I can't believe it's been over a month since I've posted, and I would love to catch everyone up on what's been going on. We have done something every weekend since the last post so I'm just going to go one weekend at a time.
Chris and Angie (Philip's brother and his wife) came and stayed with us a few days. Chris spoke to our students about what is going on in London and really challenged the students. Then, that weekend on Nov. 14 we had our annual Movie in the Park. It's always hard chosing a movie, but we ended up showing Jurassic Park. It was a really good night.
The next weekend, Philip was an usher at a friend from College's wedding. We ended up staying Friday night in Sugarland after the rehearsal dinner. Philip got a
$55 straight razor shave, and the wedding was beautiful. Then, that sunday we had a couples baby shower for Angie at Philip's parents house. This is a picture I stole from
Angie's blog of the hostesses with Angie.
Then it was Thanksgiving weekend. All of my family, including my mom's side, went to my Dad's uncles's home for lunch. It was nice, but I don't think I even knew everyone there. Then we had dinner at Philip's parents house with Cody and Jamie and Amber and her family. This is Hallie's Thanksgiving dress. Isn't it precious.
Now to December. Am I making you tired yet?
The first weekend of December, Philip went on a Junior High mission trip to the Round Rock Children's home. So, Hallie and I packed up and went to Canton. I was hoping to find Christmas gifts, but all I got was a metal bow for our front door and this outfit for Hallie.
This past weekend, we sent Philip's parents out of town and all of Philip's siblings and spouses came to work on their house. We painted, worked on flooring, laid baseboards, and hung crown molding. We barely finished the living room when they arrived back home. On Sunday, all the siblings exchanged gifts since we won't all see each other on Christmas.
We also had the Student ministry Christmas party Sunday night.
This weekend we are finishing remodeling the FHSM room and having Christmas with my dad's side of the family.
Hope you are having a wonderful Holiday Season, and staying just as busy as you want to be.
